Our young generation of Satsanghi Dvani Devaraj (Chitra & Devarajji’s daughter for those who might not know her), has sent me this inspiring talk. It is on the Vibhuti yoga of the Lord and is from the talk given at the UAE Satsangh on the occasion of Gita Jayanthi. It is written in simple language, holds some powerful messages and is truly from the eyes of a youngster. Great going Dvani

My humble pranams to the Lord, Guruji and all Mahatmas.
When my brother Sairam took part in a dance when he was studying in first standard, among 20 children who danced with him, my eyes were only on him – even though he was dressed same like all other children and the steps were also fast. The love and focus on him all the time in a day, made me successful in not missing him on the stage even for a moment.
In this chapter, Arjuna asks the Lord, where are you in this world of different beings? Please tell me how can I find you.
The Lord tells Arjuna that you need to have great love for Me and
single pointed devotion to Me.
Lord says even the great rishis doesn’t know His origin. This vast beautiful universe is only a fragment of the Lord. He is ‘anirvachaneeyam’ – who cannot be expressed in words.
To make Arjuna and all of us to understand, Lord has given a few examples of His great glories in this chapter. He tells Arjuna in short that He is present in all movable, immovable, up, down, above, below and even beyond that. There is not a place where He is not there.
THEN, WHY WE ARE UNABLE TO SEE HIM EVEN THOUGH HE IS PRESENT EVERYWHERE?
Once upon a time there was an orthodox lady in a village near Nagpur.
Nagpur is a place where there is lot of water scarcity.
The orthodox lady never allowed anybody to touch her or she touched anybody or anything.
In the same mentality she started her pilgrimage to have the darshan of the Lord.
When she reached Nagpur she found that the weather was very hot.
She was very thirsty and whichever tap she turned, there was not even a single drop of water.
The government had made some arrangement in the station for the supply of water. The skin of an animal was used to make a bag. They filled water in such bags and supplied the water to the thirsty people.
When lots of people were taking that water and quenching their thirst, this lady, though she was very thirsty was hesitating in her mind whether the man who was serving the water may belong to low caste, the bag may not be pure and may not have cleaned well and so on…
After a long hesitation, couldn’t control her thirst, went forward near that man. She asked that man “Sir, is this bag clean? Is this water pure?”
The man replied: “THE BAG OF LEATHER FROM WHICH WATER IS BEING SERVED IS CLEANER THAN THE BAG INTO WHICH THE WATER WILL BE POURED AFTER SERVICE – THAT IS YOUR BODY”
Today all of us are bothered about the external cleanliness without removing the impurity from our own body and mind.
A person holding a torch sees everything around him very clearly. Similarly the man who is pure in his heart is holding the torch of devotion, through which he is able to see the Lord present in all beings.
Vibhuti means ‘arise, expand and appear’. EVERYONE OF US IS POTENTIALLY DIVINE. THIS CHAPTER MAKES US UNDERSTAND THIS TRUTH. JAI SHRI KRISHNA
Thanks for your blessings Aunty. Lots of love Dvani
Hello Dhvani
It was nice to read your explanation and example of how internal cleanliness is more important than the external cleanliness.
Internal cleanliness means that of mind and thoughts. So keeping our thoughts pure and divine becomes extremely important.
Wishing you all the best
I absolutely agree, coz each of us is created in the image of God, if we can just live as God wants us, obeying his laws and love one another.
