Gita Saar
Some of the key messages from the Gita have been condensed into what is popularly known as “Gita Saar” or the “Essence of the Gita”
Here are the messages..
Whatever is happening, is happening for good.
Whatever is going to happen, it will be for good.
Gita Saar – In English

What have you lost for which you cry?
What did you bring with you, which you have lost?
What did you produce, which has been destroyed?
You did not bring anything when you were born.
Whatever you have, you have received from Him.
Whatever you will give, you will give to Him.
You came empty handed and you will go the same way.
Gita Saar – In Hindi

Whatever is yours today was somebody else’s yesterday and will be somebody else’s tomorrow.
SO WHY WORRY UNNECESSARILY?
Change is the law of the universe.
I have deliberately refrained from giving a quick & easy download of the Gita Saar. This is because, in my opinion, the Gita Saar is not just for Downloading and Displaying, but for Introspecting & Imbibing.
Each of the above messages is like “dynamite” to fire the brain. If we can take even one of these messages and contemplate, it can give us a lot of inspiration on the right way to lead life and put things for us in perspective..

Pranams to Bhagavatas
You came empty handed and you will go the same way. is this said anywhere in Gita? should be …….. would like to know from learned Bhagavatas..
You brought with you old Karmas and you take with you new karmas. is this not also true?
Thanks and welcome other’s views
Namaskaram, Viji,
I have not studied Gita enough to know whether it says that “we came empty handed and will leave the same way”. However, I think the reference here is to material things of this world, which we do NOT bring with us and do NOT take with us. Think of the Pharohs and all the stuff buried with them in the pyramids!
You are certainly right about karma. That is something that comes and goes with us. We are born with our ‘praarabdha’ and ‘vaasanaas’ from the endless cycle of birth. Remember the story of the dacoit who became Sage Valmiki. He thought that his wife and children would share a part of a burden of his sins related to looting. When they refused, he realized that he alone is responsible for the consequences of his actions and that led to his transformation from a dacoit to a sage.
However, as Sowmya and Ram have been posting recently, it is the karma with the attitude of doership that attaches to the person. If you offer everything to HIM, kaayena vaacha manasendriye vaa … then HE takes over the responsibility.
kRiShNaarpaNam astu!

bhagavad geeta sara says the real essence of our being.. not to worry about worldly desires, birth and death cycles..so that you will become free, once the truth is realized. means- free from karma bondage.. then there will not be any influence of karma.. being free is the real purpose.. till than the fruits of karma will be carried.
a karma which makes free from karma is required.. that is continuous selfless service.
