Bhagavadh Gita talks about the meaning of life and its purpose.Its talks about the what a human being finally attains—– self- realization, and how Karma plays an important role in shaping up our lives.So having such awareness helps us to understand ourselves as well as the world.Gita does not have “solutions” to all our problems, but Gita teaches us how to handle or face such problems in life.When we develop such an understanding we are able to adapt ourselves to any situation in our life .So in that way, it helps us in developing and exposing our personal excellence
The bhagavad gita tells us to perform action for action sake,
with a mind free from the anxieties of the fruits of our action,
and act aggressively as if we need the fruits of our action,
though we renounce the fruit of our action,
we perform to the best of our abilities without any hinderance
we achieve more in developing our personal excellence
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि
Your right is only to perform your duty, but never to its results (fruits). Let not the results be your motive, nor you be indolent.
Lesson: Perform your duty with a mind free from the anxieties of fruits of action. Neither you be indolent nor consider yourself as the cause ( agent) of results.
This slok gives every one that keep hard work and perform yr duty well.

Bhaghavat Gita teaches the opposite. There is nothing personal in excellence.
Study it. Practice any one of the principles there. You probably need one lifetime to practice in real life even one principle. Good luck.

how can I practice the teachings of Bhagavadgeeta in my daily life?
First of all if some teachings from Bhagavadgeeta are written , spoken or heard, it is not for us to question or go on examining or evaluating how much of it is the person writing, speaking or hearing is following it himself , because as we all know , we are likely to find some fault or other in everyone else except oneself.
The teachings are exclusively for me to understand and practice.
In this way, we would not waste our engery in debating to what extent it has been followed by somebody else or not, but the energy sould be saved solely for the purpose of one’s own spiritual development.
In Chapter 6 Verse 5 Shri Bhagavan speaks: “Uddharedatmanatmanam natmanamavasadayet , Atmaiva hyatmano bandhuratmaiva ripuratmanah ” One should lift oneself by one’s own efforts and should not degrade oneself, for one’s own self is one’s friend , and one’s own self is one’s enemy.
