  1. Vishnu Acharya says:

As Vinoba said, swadharma is one that one does not have to search for, as it is one that one is born with. Anena dharayate eeti dharmah: that which holds up: Look around as you awaken: you will find one’s dharma within and without beckoning you to sustain with your goodness i.e. Aatmoupyena – by comparing with oneself, doing unto others you would have them do unto you and remaining true to your divine co-habitor, the sahaja, the other Self.

  2. Pabs says:

Swadharma is a part of dharma. On the basis of the Dharma, this creation was created. The contents of this creation- man,earth,universe,nature- everything has its own laws-called swadharma,As long as the swadharma of each content in this entire created is being fulfilled heartfully(not mindfully),then the responsibilities/targets of both swadharma and dharma fulfilled, both these are interdependents.—this can be explained like — take an organisation,it will have some goals ,the job holder in that should have the view of the organsation goal and work according to that ,both the goals of jobholder and organisation can be reached.

For a person in this world swadharma is – he should have an heartful (not mindful )relationship with God,nature, people, society, relationships(… and birds,,his own body, his nature, his karma, always realising about himself and having gratitude in God

why i am mentioning mindful and heartful means–mindful means thoughtful, fearful, hurtful, suppression,d… etc
Don’t go for meditation to become heartful

swadharma is our main goal or code of life of which rules we follow it helps us to be either good or bad…
swa dharma as defined by krishna to arjun is the path u choose to be right
DHARMA can be religous teaching frm geeta mahabharta or anyother of our or other religion books

  4. Neil S says:

‘Swa’ means ’self’ in Sanskrt; as in Atman (pure consciousness), not Jiva (individual personality). So there are different levels of worldly dharma – individual, family, caste, etc. Then there is the duty to realize Atman – swadharma. Yoga (in the broadest sense of the term) is swadharma, because this is the method for realizing Atman.

  5. Thimmappa M S says:

Swadharma are the duties ordained /inherent in my position at any given moment such as class-teacher or ruler or trader or labourer, and status-student or householder or retired or recluse.Swadharma is the duties/norms of individuals in society. Whereas, Dharma is the order/norms that govern the Universe including its all beings.Swadharma can not contradict the Dharma,if it does, individual in society is wiped out. Swadharma is a whole in a larger whole.

My swadharma is that of a Teacher and a House Holder.

  6. Spirit says:

As long as we have this material body there are various duties prescribed for us. Such duties are divided by a system of four social orders: brähmana, ksatriya, vaisya and südra. These particular duties are mentioned in the çästra, and particularly in Bhagavad-gitä. Sva-dharmäcaranam means that one must discharge the prescribed duties of his particular division of society faithfully and to the best of his ability. One should not accept another’s duty. If one is born in a particular society or community, he should perform the prescribed duties for that particular division. If, however, one is fortunate enough to transcend the designation of birth in a particular society or community by being elevated to the standard of spiritual identity, then his sva-dharma, or duty, is solely that of serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The actual duty of one who is advanced in Krsna consciousness is to serve the Lord. As long as one remains in the bodily concept of life, he may act according to the duties of social convention, but if one is elevated to the spiritual platform, he must simply serve the Supreme Lord; Sri Krsna, that is the real execution of sva-dharma.

  7. swadharma says:

para mi swadharma es ….EL CAMINO DEL CORAZON…..el CAMINO DE LO ABSOLUTO……NUESTRO CAMINO DE REALIZACION EN LA VIDA…..

for me swadharma is …. THE WAY OF THE HEART – OF WHAT’S WAY …..
ABSOLUTE PERFORMANCE …… OUR WAY OF LIFE …..
