@ Pranesh Iyer
...a reply almost a year later as I stumbled upon it only now.

Karna says "Bholenath ke alava, koyi bhi dar jayega".

Fear of Mrityu to the Great Mrutyunjaya Swami? Ha ha ha, you must be kidding.

My favourite dialogue in the Mahabharata is the one which Suryaputra Karna said to Madranaresh Shalya before his last fight with Arjuna on the 17th day of battle- " Svetavahan rath hai jiske char ghode ho, jispe savar ho gandhivdhari arjun , jiske sarathi hon yogeshwar Shri Krishna aur jis rath par baithe rath aur rath ki goodon ki raksha kar rahen ho bhagawan bajrang bali.
Aise bhayanak shatru ko saamne dekhkar svayam bhagavan bholenath aur onke dono putr Ganpathi aur Karthikey ko bhi mrityu ka bhay
hoga." This is the original script mentioned in the Geeta press Gorakhpur version of the Mahabharata.

My favourite verse is the last one of Bhagavadgeeta:
Sanjay Uvacha:
"YATRA YOGESHWARAH KRISHNO YATRA PARTHO DHANURDHARAH
TATRA SHRIRVIJAYO BHOOTIRDHRUVAH NEETIRMATIRMAMA"
Whereever there is Bhagavan Krishna, the Lord of Yoga, and wherever there is Arjuna, the wielder of the Gandiva bow, goodness, victory, glory and unfailing righteousness will surely be there: such is my conviction.

My Prayers and salutations to All the creatures including
Odampull whose question I am trying to answer:

Question is if the God is in the heart of all creatures then why
Hindus are praying outside:

It refers to Chapter 18, Shloka no. 61, which says ," Arjuna, GOD abides in the heart of all creatures, causing them to revolve according to their karma by His illusive power (maya) as though mounted on a machine.

As he is the prime mover of all as said above, and if he is the prime over of all, all human actions are performed by him. It does not matter where and how you pray, as the GOD is infinite, there can be infinite ways of praying to the GOD.

GOD has not said that he lives only in the hearts of all creatures, and in fact in Chapter 10, Shloka 8 he says: "I am the source of all creation and everything in the world moves because of Me, knowing thus the wise ,full of devotion, constantly worship Me.

Further Chapter 6, Shloka 30, the GOD says: He who sees Me ( the Universal Self) present in all beings, and all beings existing within Me, he is never lost to me , nor am I ever lost to him. Thus if GOD is recognized in his Universal Self form then there is no question as to what is inside and what is outside because all is one creation .

GOD is so compassionate that in Chapter 9, Shloka 23, he says: Arjuna, even those devotees who, endowed with faith, worship other GODs (with some interested motives) worship Me alone, though with a mistaken approach.

May all the creatures be motivated by GOD to learn at least a little of Bhagavadgeeta to dispell their misunderstadning about him.

All are meaningful. But for most of us the verse explaining how to perform our duty is really beautiful.Chapter 2 verse 47.
karmany evadhikarass te maphalesu kadacana
ma karma-phala-hetur bur ma te sango stv akarmani
Meaning:
You have right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to worry for the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.

The line "Iswara Sarva Bhoothanam Hrudhese Arjuna Thishtathi" is beautiful. Meaning - "Hi, Arjuna, God lives in the heart of every living being". This is a proof for nonexistence. Gita says God is inside and don't want to search outside. I can't understand, then for what Hell the Hindus are praying outside!

All known and popular verses have been recorded. Nice. Here is another one.
SARVA DHARMAN PARITHYAJYA MAMMEKAM SARANAM VRAJA!
Meaning: Distancing yourselves from all other duties or commitments or thought currents, you make total surrender to me!

Every verse of SHRIMAD BHAGAVAD GITA are equally beautiful and equally Important.
Its like u r asking for a line from a whole poem.
But as u r curious ..... I would like to choose a line cutting it marcilessly from its root ....
Anyway ... regarding present situation .... here it is..
DHYATO BISHAYAN PUNSA SANGASTESHU UPJAYETE
SANGAT SANJAYATE KAMA KAMAT KRODHOBHIJAYATE
KRODHATBHABATI SAMMOHA SAMMOHAT SMRITIBHIBHRAMAHA
SMRIBHRANSAT BUDDHINASO BUDDHINASAT PRANASHATI
                      ----(62- 63 )SHANKHYA
-------------------Means ... when man thinks of objects which sooths his senses...he developes an attraction....attraction leads to desire.... desire ..when not fulfilled
(obviously all desires r not fulfilled in life) ....he develops anger...... anger leads to hipnosis to the object and develops grief.....in hipnosis for the object he looses the logic of good and bad (in anyway he needs the object).......loss of logic leads to loss of intellect .... loss of intellect thus leads to end of life.
Because a life ..without knowledge is nothing but a dead body.
And the whole purpose of life is to gain knowledge.
These day i see everywhere .... greed leads to death in various forms ...... so i choose this one for u.

My Fav,...verse is this;...
"Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya
Glanirva Bhavathi Bharatha,
Abhyuthanam Adharmaysya
Tadatmanam Srijami Aham'.
Bhagavad Gita (Chapter IV-7)
"Whenever there is decay
of righteousness O! Bharatha
And a rise of unrighteousness
then I manifest Myself!"
or
Whenever and wherever there is decline of dharma (righteousness) and ascendance of adharma (unrighteousness), at that time I manifest Myself in visible form. For the protection of the righteous and destruction of the wicked, and for the sake of establishing dharma again, I incarnate Myself on earth ages after ages.
